I watched a documentary regarding roaming charges with several people getting charged hundreds of pounds for only a week or less worth of browsing with one guy being charged about £800+ for watching a 1hour movie.

Movie must have been about 2GB in size, even at that its bloody extortionate to be charging pounds per megabyte after you go over your monthly limit. It's bad enough when you're not on roaming charges!

The main mobile companies here are Movistar, Orange, vodaphone, with a lot of much cheaper internet based suppliers.

Movistar will probably have the best coverage, Orange is always offering good deals, and Vodaphone is not very popular for some reason....

IF there is coverage, then a company like Yoigo is dead cheap. I have a phone with them, cant fault them and around half the price of Movistar for the same services. Just depends if they have good coverage where the house is. I expect they will.

They have shops too where the staff are quite often multilingual.

Thanks guys. Just what I needed to know.

I am happy with the internet at the house. It is a router supplied by Telitec and I can just connect the laptop via WiFi.

The other gadget is for when we are out and about. I need to stay on top of emails as we get quite a few orders off the Internet these days and we offer a next day delivery service.
