techie help needed

anyone know where i can get a driver for my gateway 1776le monitor (my ctx just died) everything works ok but on this box (the one you write in )the bottom and right hand lines are missing :confused: the topic one also has lines missing ,all i can find is linux drivers ,its not listed on the gateway site and nothing on driver guide

also the dividing lines between the forum listings has gone :confused: :confused:

try doing a web search for the monitor make,you might find some that way,but if your using windows it loads drivers for them anyway if its plug-play.

tried that jem ,its all linux drivers and i expect its too old to be plug and pray ,it is my backup backup,

solved the box prob (graphics card needed gamma adjusting)

Very possible the problem is your video card isn't setting itself right for the Crystalscan.

 

Or if that one has the cable that will come off at either end (rather than one end built into the monitor) you might need to match up a different cable to make your video card and the monitor like each other. Look Here.

 

Play around with card settings like refresh rate and such. It wants to run at H / V 30-64 khz / 100 hz and as a 17" should be happy with 800x600 or 1024x768 resolution.

all sorted used the bnc imputs and its working ok seems to not like 60hz but 75hz ok (its default preset setting non interlaced) if you come across 98se drivers for it please let me know ,a handbook also (why dont they chuck the manual in the skip at the same time),its running as a 17" vivitron

the gateway site has the specs for them but they are not in the monitor inf file :confused:

Chester do Gateway make there own monitors or just put their name on it. If they don't make them any idea who does as this will make finding the drivers alot easier.

yes first place i went,they list its specs ,but the monitor inf doesnt list it (its a crystal scan) the driver i`m using is for a vivitron
