File suffixes

Yes I know I'm a bear of very little brain, but what programme plays a file with a .pps suffix? I've tried all the ones I think might work, and none do.

While I am publicly displaying my ignorance, how do I disable the pre-dial terminal screen which is driving me crazy, when I dial up? I know I enabled it, thinking it had a purpose, but I can't remember where it was!

I once had some brain cells, but they died of loneliness! :confused:

your right they are ,i once had to download a program to watch one ,it was a "movie" called "smack-eyes" not for the squeamish

As I recall .pps is a Microsoft Power point file, no idea what a pre dial terminal screen is though!

Dunno,

using cable.

 

In win98

>Start>Programs>assessories/communications/dial up Networking

 

Highlight your normal connection eg Freeserve

 

Up top >Connections>Settings

& untick

promopt for info before dialing

 

or it's prob the buttons below that on the page

ie select

"don't prompt to use dialup networking"

Power Point presentations can run large but are often excellent - depending on who made it up.

 

If you don't own a copy of Microsoft's Power Point (needed to create a presentation) you can download a free viewer that will allow you to play the thing. Go Here
