Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

Try making a copy of the file, and rename the copy so that it has a file type of .txt

I don't know if this will work, but it might.

English as tuppence, changing yet changeless as canal water, nestling in green nowhere, armoured and effete, bold flag-bearer, lotus-fed Miss Havishambling, opsimath and eremite, feudal, still reactionary, Rawlinson End.

chesters1 - send it to me at home nvail@ctc.net and I'll open it and dump it to a text file with delimeters that any spreadsheet program can convert. Or save it to an older version that you can open. Or both.

My guess is the version that created the file is newer than your spreadsheet program and yours simply can't recognize something built to the newer specifications.

For running 123 on your XP PC - try creating a shortcut to it on the desktop and then open the shortcut and set it for 98 compatibility mode. It may well run then.

And yes, any version of Microsoft Office that is newer than your Lotus version can open files created with that version of Lotus.
