What is it about music/musicians?

 

Just finished watching a programme about Status Quo and as soon as the music started I got that "rush" and started to tap my feet and "nod" me bloomin' 'ed.

 

Some music makes me want to cry at the beauty of it, some can lift me to thank God for just being priveledged to hear it, rock, classic, blues, country &western,Opera, specially the sopranos, all this derived from a few basic notes.

 

We are really so lucky to be living during this period of mans history.

I don`t think its anything to do with music. Messrs Parfitt and Rossi hit upon magical chords?

They`ve played the same damn chords for the past 30 something years and I still find myself singing along.

I don't care what anyone says IMO "in the army now" & the flip side "heartburn" was the best single the lads ever released

 

One thing that has always bugged me about 'em tho'

It may be just down to my Tinitus, but am I the only one to object to having to listen to a 'song' several dozen times before I know what the words are?

 

If you can tap your feet to it, perhaps you will listen to it enough times to learn the words.

 

Anybody got a copy of Rockin' Goose by Johnny & the Hurricanes c1960? Now that's one that you can tap your feet to, and no words to learn.

 

What do they say to each other when stepping back from the mikes? "Look at all those suckers paying for our next snort."
