i,ve finally got my website uploaded using cute ftp i had problems trying to upload with dreamweaver has anyone any tips for uploading with dreamweaver

Yeah don`t use dreamweaver as I also had huge problems.

I now use WS_FTP Pro for all my ftp transfers

Dreamweaver is a great program for creating and editing you site, i have used it for years, now using the MX version, but, i still use cute for uploading ocasionally, but for the most part i use windows xp server ftp, it is so easy, just like opening two folders and drag and drop to update, this is easy on a very easy no hastle way.

I have Xp but never heard of the xp ftp uploader is it in windows.MMM i neeed to do quite a bit of work on the website yet well with all this rain I will probaly have plenty of time with my local waters out of action Hey thats good I dea for a page in my webbie

Gray - isn't that ftp product part of frontpage2002 (frontpage XP) rather than part of XP itself?

Use Dreamweaver all the time simple to use etc but upload using Terrapin

Newt, its a part of xp itself, have a look,

you wont be able to get in,(or shouldnt ) but this is xp, you just set the needed details, i did nothing more than set up a local server and a share (the actual url)

 

when i get home tomorrow evening, i will post how to do it.

Same here - used it for years, although am now getting a few probs which I have a funny feeling will be down to XP.

Ahh I wondered what that was Gray my isp support sent me that it got me into my webspace mm I spent days trying to upload with dreamwaever I even deleted all my web site files and started from scratch again!
