New year, new targets ?

So what are your hopes ( fishing-wise )and dreams for 2005 ?

New species? new PB? New venues?

 

Maybe you've already achieved something ?

 

My target this year is a 20lb pike ( PB so far 15.8 )

 

This year I've had a great start though with a 22.12 Mirror from the Itchen - my biggest fish ever, and also a 5lb chub ( Itchen PB )

Hi Darral,I supose mine is the same as most recent years,just to carry on going out and enjoying it.Since Ive been ill this in it self is a major target for me!Motivating is hard for me these days.I tend to have 2-3 days on the trot then dont get off my ass for a week or so! never used to have this problem.

 

Going to try and target a big roach or so this comming year.Never had a two pounder so the target should be quite realistic.Been given a few semi local places to try.Unlike specimens of other species that have just "come along" over the years it looks like Im going to have to put some effort in to this one.Something I like!

My target is still the same as last year and the same the year before that!

 

My 1st pike over 20lbs

My 1st double barbel

My 1st Zander - don't matter what size in that one as long it is a zander

 

Well for the catfish, caught a little one but really wanted a biggy - forget that one for now unless Budgie can come with something esle!

I second that. But a 30lb thames pike wouldn't go amiss (thames pb 27.5lb).

As a beginner this is relatively easy to answer.

 

A 10lb + Carp.

A 5lb + Tench.

My own telly programme, " An idiots guide to freshwater fishing."

Anything on a river.

Hope for this year? Fish a river for the first time. Never tried it before, will probably need some guidance, but hey thats what fishing is all about - getting out there and doing it.

 

Oh, and beating my pb Tench of 7 & 1/4 lb.

you'll love it terry, its not hard and to me is so much more rewarding than fishing stillwaters.
