I did say they had to be for working in and practicle(spellings gone)not sure about the edible idea, not sure anyone would want to eat them after some of the places I get to in a days work. Sometimes i use my apron to kneel on as the floor covering can be disgusting.your shoes stick to the floor sometimes. Or covered in cat/dog poo Not everybody lives to your standards.even the soap is too disgusting to use in some houses.

I am intreagued as to Alan's ideas for replying

They could wear a bunny outfit,I would not mind, so long as they did their job correctly. It is not the clothes, but the way help is given that counts.

Identification is the main thing to think about.

How many old people can read an ID card that is flashed in front of them in a slit second.

We read too much about old people being conned into letting imposters into their homes, only to be robbed, or even worse.

hi jim we got our own spot now ,it called the politics bit :D

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

But don't mention assylum seekers eh??

I only posted on this topic because I am just as concerned about old people being mugged, as I am about that lot.

little onions:

For goodness' sake, Alan. Nursejudy and me intrigued at the same time, how do you do it?

Slowly and gently until seconds before you reach the point of no return, then stop for a glass of wine repeat process for the next 4 hours :D

Jim, I think you will find that we are all with you on the ID issue. :)

just to throw a spanner in works,a friend of mine works as a nurse (carer) at a psychatric hospital.they got rid of the uniform as it was deemed confrontational (cant spell).would old people prefer a warm cardigan to turn up you still have the problum of ID whatever.

judy as for the rest of the time you wear what you like nurses uniform certainly get people up quicker!!.cheers big al :)
