Sorry I should have said that I am running XP.

I believe that those instructions work perfectly for Windows98 but not for my XP. My mistake, sorry!

Kleinboet - if you are talking about the google toolbar, then her directions are perfect for XP as well - nearly, sometimes.

 

I use a classic start menu (acts very much like 98) and can do start~settings~control panel then open the Add/Remove thing and locate the Google Tool Bar entry and click to remove it.

 

If you use the default XP start menu, you probably also use the default control panel layout so things can be a little tougher to find. You can do start~control panel and once it is open, if there is a 'view' option, set it for list and hopefully the add/remove thing will show up.

 

If your problem is that is just won't run, post back because you have a couple of things busted but I can't suggest a fix until I know what needs fixing.
