just that I hadn't heard any mention of a firewall and wondered if the lack of one had given rise to your probs as you had mentioed norton av and spybot + Adaware.

I have wrestled with reality for 46 years, still wrestling.

I don't think that's it. I've just updated Zone Alarm to the latest version this evening but I've used it for years and had no such problem.

Prggy's going to reinstall IE6 and see if that makes any difference.

Thanks everyone for suggestions. Any others gratefully received.

Nathan, it's not that - it's only Internet Explorer that doesn't work. I can still pickup e-mails through Outlook Express.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Mine started doing it yesterday. Goes off after about 10 mins; so I gotta be quick!!! The first thing I noticed was that the Zone Alarm icon had dissappeared.

Had a look around for solutions and found a place where errors are logged on the pc.

It mentions TrueVector/Win32...??????? and surprisingly a dialogue box comes up when I try to uninstall/reinstall Z.Alarm, mentioning this also.

Have gone to the Zone Alarm online support, but can't find the solution quick enough b4 internet goes down again. What a game!!!!!!!!
