River Carp

All,

I have been put onto some stretches of the Avon in the midlands that contain some nice carp. Anyone aware of any other stretches of river that may hold some decent carp. Need a challenge next year as I am bored with pools.

Todate my biggest carp was caught on a lure, when I was trying to catch a pike. My biggest bream came on a plug, and my biggest (only) catfish also came on a lure. Seems I'm destined to succeed, but only unintentionally!

Carp numbers are increasing on the Severn but locating them and then targeting them is difficult.

The section just upstream of the old abandoned bridge at Bewdley in known to hold and produce a head of carp and fish to over 20lb were taken this year. The right hand bank is controlled by the KDAA and I think the left is the top end of Stan Lewis's water.
