Hiya John,I fish the Mull quite a lot as have a caravan in Drummore. Do not fish it in the winter though so cannot really comment. I am sure tack4 or ourwullie will be along shortly to answer your question.

If tack4 misses this post I am seeing the tack4 clan this Saturday so will mention it.

Tight lines :)

Between Greenock and Loch Ryan...Greenock to Largs produces small Codling and Dabs, Whiting and Coalies in general although Greenocks the most productive mark. For the chance of a decent Codling or odd Haddock, try and get up to Crarae Bistro or Furnace Quarry. The latter two would be my preferred venues if I was after a half decent fish.

Theres the waterfront at Greenock, most productive stretch IMO is from the swimming baths up to the second small pier that juts out. Then theres the steps at Gourock, fishes much the same but there isnt nearly as much room there. The next area worth considering is Largs, although I wouldnt really bother going that far down unless you were to get the ferry to Millport and try for the big Ballans there. As I said, better off up at Loch Fyne if you can make the journey.
