The company I work for shuts down for Christmas. So, as soon as the Chairman and MD have done the rounds and we are given the nod to sod off (normally earlier than usual), Christmas begins.

Does and it does`nt seem like christmas. Pressies are wrapped, all grubs in, lights are on suddenly not much to do. Failed miserably in phoning to have a skip uplifted at workshop so decided to finish clear out this morning.

Spent about 3 hours getting rid of rubbish and realised, 24th December in Glasgow and I`m working outside in a "T" shirt. Strange weather.

Spare a thought for the workers at Christmas

I finish a day shift at 1900 then back at 1900 tomorrow for three 12 hour night shifts. At least I am home for Christmas dinner this year but will have to be on mineral water all day as have to drive to work

 

Never mind I am then off for three weeks hols including New Year to catch up
