Richi

Did you take those yaks down/up those steps? If you did thats quite a steep climb especially with yaks :D:D Were you not able to paddle round from the Cove or did conditions deteriorate. Seems like a fair way to pull the yaks back to the car park!

up Speciman due to a mixture of bad weather prediction from the b.b.c. and worsening conditions and yes it was a fair way and we were totally knackered but somehow we both enjoyed the day--are we sadists or just mad :D

I'm impressed Richi. Thats a hard walk back especially with yaks and those steps must have been a killer!

Weather conditions aside, how was the tide running down there? We're on spring tides again and was wondering if it had much pull close inshore there. I've only paddled there towards Durdle Door with Zzippy on a neap and the tide was very weak (I think it pulls harder once you get off shore a bit) plus at this time of year the tidal differences tend to be greater.

In your pic the end of the rainbow is on a well known ray spot for shore anglers in Worbarrow Bay. Maybe its a sign and I should dust my beach caster down :D

Hi Richi,

Great photo. I grew up in Dorset (Swanage) so an image of this area brings back happy memories...

Your rod holder looks interesting, I've been trying to fix one up on my Hobie.

Have you hot a larger photo / advice on making one like it?

Many thanks
