i was trying offload my snapped one :)

 

i would have thought it would make it heavier, as the tip would then be thicker? or is it me being thicker?

Taking six inches off the end should make it lighter.

 

Paradoxical that

 

six inches off = lighter rod,

 

six inches off = heavier action

 

Whatever, sounds too painful to contemplate :lol::lol::lol:

By the way, Vagabond, I had one of those horrible Trippa jobs. The tip section did all the work, glad to sell it on.

 

Yep, between you and Ken L I have the message. Trippa crossed off the list.

 

Have never handled one, hence the enquiry.

 

The blurb says "terrific backbone" !!!!

 

 

Looks like if I want a really powerful travel baitcaster I am in custom-built country.
