Seahawks ! Seahawks!

As my prime team, Denver Broncos, did not make the Superbowl this year, I will be rooting for my second string, Seattle Seahawks.

Laid in a supply of Budweiser, pork pies and chillie tortilla crisps, oiled my old football rattle, and booked a corner of the couch.

Going All-American for a few hours.

....and of course we get the usual negative vibes from the media.

Seahawks! SEAHAWKS!!!!!

.....and some pike spinning on Monday to work those pork pies off.....

Blimey, brings back memories of the first Superbowl ever shown in the UK, I believe - Washington Redskins vs Miami Dolphins.

They announced that they would be showing it at our school (it may have even been a video, I don't recall) and two of us turned up - me and Alex Church. I then became a Redskins 'fan', him a 'Dolphins' :D

Since those blasted Seahawks beat my team, Carolina Panthers, in their playoff game to see which team would play the other team in the Super Bowl, I've gotta cheer for the Seahawks so we can say we got beaten by the best football team in the US this year.

It's beyond me how Seattle, which has a 15-3 ercord on the year, can be a 4.5 point underdog to the Steelers. Wish I could lay down a bet on the Seahawks, but Vegas to too far away. I really want to see Pittsburgh get whomped. I'll be at a Super Bowl party playing cards, drinking beer, cheering for Seattle, and eating lots of tasty sh*t.
