At Southbourne in Dorset Yakdiver---------lovely place-----------pheonix sounds good Yakity,haven't got a clue what it means though!----the gulls were having a right old time at the beach replenishment in the photo

From one of the photos looks it looks like near the end of Prom (Southbourne) or Double Dykes (Hengistbury Head). Zzippy and I were also out in this general area today launching from Durley just west of B'mouth Pier. It was the calmest sea we've ever paddled on down there. We were warm although the water was icy cold.

 

We spent most of the time fishing above the rocks around Durley with no bites and Zzippy lost another anchor again.. gruunnt,,, heeeave,, damn thing wouldn't shift and the rope had to be cut We then tootled and fished underneath Bournemouth Pier for a while. I caught a scorpion fish and that was it.

How much chain are you putting on the anchors.....length ?.

Are you dropping the anchor while the Kayak is moving ?

Wont be long now, things will start to liven up a bit.
