annoying icon

can anyone help me to remove an icon on my desktop ,its there as i was downloading a set of drivers ,as usuall BT decided to disconnect half way through but an icon remained.

trying to delete it results in a "cannot delete as it is in use by another program" error it cannot be renamed either with the same error ,according to its properties its a 0 byte icon? the same error accurs in safe mode as well.

i tried renaming the two files? this icon leads to (windows doesent recognise them) but even on rebooting this icon refuses to delete ,its not a "naughty" thing as in adware or virus just stubborn

also on booting up windows keeps checking drive G for "inconsistancies",if its left to check it it still rechecks on the next boot how do i tell windows to leave it alone

have you tried starting it in safe mode and then trying to delete it?

Or just go back a couple of days in "System Restore" ???

thanks that little prog worked a treat ,i used it to rename the thing first but even under a different name it refused to delete ,i then used the prog to delete it and its gone

even stranger now its gone the constant checking of drive G has gone too although what they had in common is unknown

Is This possibly the critter you were seeing chesters1?
