Anyone own one of these units??? My mate has one and I have to say they are a quality bit of kit, my old fella is looking at buying one as they do a left hand version. I know they havn't been in the UK for that long, hence why i'm wondering if anyone else is a proud/unproud owner. Think they do 2 sizes, the one my mate has is the smaller version, and it is very small. similar to a 6500 size, but with mega gearing and a solid aluminum cage.

we have a pair of the EX 4/0 2speeds which we use for skate, totally bomb proof, i've heard a couple of reports about drag problems but this was by people using them for BIG tuna etc....

the funny thing is that when you pull line off by hand the drag feels rough, but when a fish dives and strips line it is really smooth, just as good as the shimano TLD 30 2 speed we have on the 3rd rod we use

hopefully get a proper chance to test the drag on mine in a couple of weeks in kenya :yeah:

Great response, glad to hear they are getting around how. They do look the nuts, and as I said they are much smaller than you would expect, yet extreamly powerfull. And as sharkbyte says the SX is good value.

i had them sent to my mates daughter in texas and she brought them back in her suitcase so i managed to avoid the usual VAT, duty etc.
