Just look at this, is it a step to far, or the way forward. I know that twin hulls are better if you get sea sick but is there a point to this, what do you think. terry

There aren't any dimensions on that picture. How wide are the sponsons? My guess is about the same as a surf ski - so you will end up with a heavier boat with a larger wetted area than a decent kayak. So from there on in it is all downhill.

 

Windage will be a problem too - I wouldn't like to have to try to paddle that bow through the wind - it would be damn near impossible. If you can't get the bow through the wind you are only going downwind - and if it happens to be offshore then you have a problem!

Bill its a bit that way, maybe in a nice green and brown DZ pattern, I just can,t see the point in it, well the two points, the site I got the pic from did not give any more details of what one would use it for and any sizes, all very odd but thats the yanks for you. terry

Hi well done for finding the forum, interesting reading, it sure is odd and even our friends across the pond don,t see the need for the thing, maybe a hull to far :P:P .terry
