Sam's efforts pay off.

I got a phone call from Sam Cox today saying he'd just caught a 3lb 2oz Perch. The call was quickly followed by a multi media text message with a photo of the fish.

For those that haven't followed any of the Perch threads, Sam has been trying for weeks to catch a Perch over 3lb. He's been getting up at silly hours in the morning 3 or 4 times a week and also fishing after work most evenings in pursuit of his fish. Today the dedication and effort paid off. Well done Sam.

I'm sure he'll post a picture on here soon.

Tell him to get his photo put up as to my mind I don't think theres anything to beat a picture of a big perch, nothing from sea or freshwater comes close to a well coloured big finned perch, just the colours and that big head and bristing fins make a big perch that rare capture that's worth celebrating
