Looking After Your Tackle

Mice got into my wicker seat box in the garage last year, through the small holes where the carrying strap goes through the box. What a mess and smell! All the groundbait and pellet bags were chewed so their contents were spilling out. They were partial to the fake baits too, the plastic dog biscuits seemed to be their favourite.

The little beggars even chewed through the lids on plastic bait boxes to get at the cornflour.

Left the maggies and licked the flour off??!!

I did ask the maggies if they wanted to press charges but they were too embarassed and didnt want anyone to recognise them.

Sounds pretty nasty Jan V, I think I might have sent Newt out with mice. Mind you not sure which is worse, a half gallon of maggot escape in the house or a plague of mice. I have been guilty of the first when I brought them indoors to turn for casters in the winter and knocked the bucket over. I was not the favourite man around the house for a few weeks.

Think you're right. You can always put out mouse traps but maggot traps? The thought of possibly putting one of those little buggers on a hook while we are over there fishing still runs a chill down my spine. :yucky:
