Worbarrow Bay

Thanks Lads for not mentioning it but Ill be straight, the guide BLANKED. It was worse than taking the missis out, she always out fishes me. I had bit of a mare, tangles, lost anchors etc. But the paddle more than made up for it.

You can see now why its my favorite spot. The only problem is that it is very weather dependent. But we found loads of spots yesterday that cannot have been fished before (at the foot of 300ft cliffs)

The walk from the carpark is do-able (once you have your trolley sorted out - long story) the down side is the last 30m which involves a steep track down to the beach. It took 3 of us to get each yak up to the top. Then we took in the views for 10 mins (had a rest) :D

I still think that way is quicker than from Lulworth, that car park is a fair walk with an additional 1 mile paddle (and a £5 charge). having said that the paddle does take you across the front of the fossil forest, a pretty good mark in its own right. Probably fair to say the Warbarrow/Tyneham option is not for the faint hearted but the results are worth it. (and only a voluntary £1 for all day parking) Spot the Yorkshireman! :P

Fished since 2003, the rest of my life I just wasted.

That place looks well nice guy's. Some cracking pics.

I so need to get out and do some fishing, if only the weather would break.

1 on the lure is worth 2 from the bait.

Last year when I was down there there 4 or more kayakers all on SOTs and they appeared around the Tout paddling from the East, I'm guessing they paddled around from Kimmeridge, would that be an easier trip, depending on the size of the surf? These weren't hardened kayak fishermen a couple looked like trippers.

SM Kimmeridge is definately an option but because of the surf it is probably more weather dependent than Lulworth. Having said that there are some cracking coves and reefs along the way. Yep definately worth considering if the weather gives you the chance.

PS You up for a late evening/night session on the Hamble on Friday night? Shhh dont tell anybody :P:D We will be meeting at 7.30 and fishing through till midnight.

Choices, Choices. JUst checked the weather. Funny enough : Kimmeridge for a night session could be an option for Sat or Sun. (Conger) :clap2

Anybody up for it?

I must go down to the sea again

To the lonely sea and sky

I left my shoes and socks there

I wonder if they're dry?
