Not a bad choice Elton. He has a good track record and is passionate about the game.I believe he even decked a reporter last year so he cannot be a bad person :lol:

Best of luck to him :)

Yeah - I'm not up to speed with all this football lark, but my mate reckons he's 'the daddy' :)

It could have been worse, they could have given the job to Harry Redknapp. at least this guy has a reputation for dropping big name players who don't perform. That should keep some of the little overpaid darlings on their toes. Expect the media to be on his back the minute he rubs one of his squad up the wrong way

This appointment if it does happen is doomed from the start just as Sven was doomed.

England football team=English born Manager.

Anything else just does not make sense.

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

Richard

Why? when you look at some of the English born numpties we have had: Graham Taylor, Keegan, Hoddle Don Revie?

I think it should be a case of the best man for the job regardless of Nationality.

For me it should have been Arsene Wenger (and that comes from a devout Newcastle Fan), but David Dein of Arsenal used his position in the FA to keep him out of the reckoning.
