...and judging from the reasons he has given, I don't blame him.

looks like our "loyal" tabloid football reporters have just lost us the best man for the job.......

Another media victim bites the dust. With the prospect of hack scribblers standing outside your house 24/7, rummaging through your bins and making up whatever stories will sell papers, I think I'm inclined to take Mr Scolari's view of the world. Sounds like a sensible chap who probably would have done a good job. No doubt the gutter press will be full of pious disclaimers tomorrow.

Very sad, there's even talk of death threats........Well, if this xenophobic c**p is going to win the day then please let it be Stuart Pearce if MON doesn't want the job - lack of experience or not.

I don't think Stuart Pearce wants the job, unlike big Sam, by his own admission he's not ready for it.

I think if Sam had the job the supporters and the media would get behind him, the players would get on with the job or else and most folk would be happy. As it is, if another foreigner gets it the snipers will be out, the press will have a field day and the saga will rumble on and on...

Personally, I would rather have an Englishman at the helm and left to do things his own way without FA interference.

Our perception of time as an orderly sequence of regular ticks and tocks has no relevance here in the alternative dimension that is fishing....... C.Yates

This has to be the first time the press has hounded out an England manager before he has even started in the job. to my way of thinking the FA should have waited till after the world cup to name a successor and maybe now they will,
