Took this one today.

Had a walk down the river today and captured this Grebe with the camera.

I fear the nest will get disturbed and the eggs will perish though.

She has nested on a busy part of the river only spitting distance from the bank.

I think by the weekend some kids are surely gonna be causing her to flee.

I will be taking daily pictures and with luck she may get a brood.

There is a boat only yards away and the lady who lives on it was straight out watching what I was up to, hopefully she will 'guard' the grebe and nest untill the eggs hatch.

 

How many eggs do grebe normally have?

I don't think it's many about 4 I think.

She's still sitting.

The lady on the boat told me she layed the eggs about 3 weeks ago.

 

I'm just hoping she can get them hatched.

 

Taken some more pictures but they are just the same as the first lot.

 

Might have a walk down later and shoot a few off.
