I'd have to have a good reason to get a 4x4 the way Gordon Brown seems to be thinking these days. I just spent two weeks on holiday driving a rented Focus C-Max and I have to say I was pretty impressed. The boot is cavernous, even without the seats folded down. It handles great and you can park in a space about four feet longer than the car. I'd buy one if I wasn't so tight!
