In this case, he posted as if he were simply a satisfied customer of a nice internet shop.

 

I did some checking (as we do with new posters until they have a track record on the forum and especially with brand new, first post folks who are touting a product. It is dead easy when they post on the photography forum and offer cheap medications but this one took a little looking that you could not really have done.

 

I looked at the site first. Written in English and prices in $ USD. Language use indicated a very literate but non-English speaker had set it up. The site is very new & most of the pages were not even finished but several times they raved about a reel (brand I never heard of) that had long been their best seller.

 

No shipping costs shown and no way to find out how much they would be. I even tried to place an order since you can see shipping on the last page before you confirm your order. Nope. Nothing. Glad I gave all bogus information.

 

Checked the IP and email addy sunshine used to sign up. Asia and very similar to the ones used by the site - close enough that I assume the email was for the site's domain since you can usually set up a dozen or so when you open a commercial web site.

 

We get some of these things on a regular basis. Most never show on the forum since we simply block the user and delete the post but I thought I'd have a little fun with this one.

 

I base the spammer/scum piece on the fact that this person tried to fool us rather than being honest and posting in the For Sale section with a clear indication that he was connected with the web site.

 

If you do want to try to buy cheap viagra or to meet nice, lonely Russian or Asian ladies, let me know and I'll send you details on the last 10 or 12 sites that offered that sort of thing to AN readers. We save all the 'deleted' posts in a special admin section.
