portable navigation lights

just got these on ebay, i need to think how to mount them(more pvc pipework). should be alright for these long dark winter sessions. £9 including p/p, anyone know if i can change the bulbs to LED'spost-8171-1161462231_thumb.jpg

You only need the white, unless you are going to add an outboard or full rigged sail to your yak. If you are please add images for our amusement.

for the length of your kayak you only need a white one 360 degrees of light

ps don't put the starboard light in your window, you may get knock on the door :lol:

I use one of these they can also be used for a rescue strobe. Difficult to get a sense of scale but about 3.5 inches long and they simply clip to PVC pipe/mast or lifejacket. It is a powerful LED with approx 40 hours life. The strobe works for 200 hours. Dont worry you will be dead by then. ;)http://www.tacklebargains.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh...l%23a3072#a3072

yes, i know what is needed, but surely it wont hurt to have the extra lights for additional safety :wallbash:
