Well, over the last few weeks you lot have been seeing the kind of fishing I've been having. I'm sure a lot of you would like to do the same if you were up here.

 

Well, while my water seems to be ok right now, most of the local area has been devastated by the recent floods and salt incursion. This has been worsened IMO by Broads Authority incompetence and arrogance. They are now, unelected though they may be, attempting to further control and restrict the rights of normal Broads users.

 

Please, think how you would feel if there was somebody looking to stop you from taking your yak where you wanted to take it, especially if you had lost all respect for their authority over many years, and then consider please signing this petition:

At the risk of getting a cruise missile up the ass, isn't there an argument for letting the broads return to their natural state as a wetland and salt marsh?

I recon it's all to do with Health and Safety!

 

Someone has done a risk assessment and shown that water can be dangerous so they have decided to let it all silt up and become overgrown!

 

I've heard rumours that they are going to do the same thing with the sea.

A Pike meet would be a good idea, especially if you can get people from far and wide, could make a good news article if the right people were prompted.
