Thats a shame you've decided to sell it so soon. I know the second hand value of sit-on-tops is high but you have invested time and extra money in rigging her.

Good luck with the sale. Will be a good buy for the larger paddler & newcomers to the sport.

after paddling a p13 I realised that the Drifter was too big for me!

It is a great kayak for someone bigger like you say or for flyfishing and I am only small and I dont fly fish.

I bought it as my first kayak and to see if i liked kayak fishing.

It is a very stable kayak, would keep if I could afford to.

I must go down to the sea again

To the lonely sea and sky

I left my shoes and socks there

I wonder if they're dry?

YakDiver: I have both, and there is a difference, I will choose the prowler every time, cos....

It's faster, it tracks better, it's drier, it cuts through the waves like butter, and there is less hull slap. I also like the screw top hatch.

How weird is that... I've just sold my P13 to get a Drifter!

Personally, the Drifter is alot more stable than the P13 but suffers from a wetter ride. I havn't noticed any difference in speed at all, in fact I was thinking the Drifter felt like it was slightly quicker?!

It's a very personal thing buying & paddling kayaks and even after a summers worth it can be a minefield.

Ha ha ha,

Coming from MJB - that is quite funny.

Come on Mary, Buy it - we all know you are just itching to get into a yak. :headhurt:

All the best

Mike

Are you suggesting I don't have a pert butt that is firm enough to crack walnuts between my cheeks? I'm still wearing my shorts 'kiwi style' on a Sunday morning too!

I would buy a yak, just to make Lord Griffiths of Kent dine on his prowler. I fear that this one won't be in my price range though. :P
