Is the video phillips as well? they have a 'smartlink' similar to Sony's and you should be able to connect the vid via any scart (but normaly scart 1 on the vid to scart 1 on the tv) and the TV should find the vid as they are 'smart' .

Look in your TV setup to make sure you have the TV display linked to Output on a Scart socket.

Post the details of all the kit & we can have a butchers at the manuals online.

Thanks again lads. I was chatting to a guy at the lake today, and he said "when you pack up, I will come home with you and sort it"

 

 

He followed me home, and "sorted it" :):)

 

He ignored the conflicting connection diagrams, set it up as per Instuction manual, set TV to EXT1 and video recorder line input to L3.....now why didn't I think of that :)

 

Something to do with the scart sockets..............................

 

 

Only problem is I am afraid to turn anything off :) :)
