Next Xmas

Well, the fishing over Xmas was a bit disappointing this year down in Cornwall, due to the weather, so I've been thinking about a fishing trip somewhere hot next year instead. So here's an opportunity for everybody to indulge in a bit of fantasising. Where would you go? I'd want to be able to fish on my own as well as doing a couple of charter trips. And just to make it fun as well as practical for me to get a few ideas, lets say you have 2 choices:

1. A money no object destination

2. A budget choice, 5 or £600-ish all in

choice 1

cuba or somewhere in central america

choice 2

well the meds out as they've eaten all the fish

i'd be inclined to look at fuerteventura small enough to find somewhere sheltered from the wind on anyshore line with some seriously good fishing.

Catch and Release fishing is a lot like golf. You don't have to eat the ball to have a good time.

First one would have to be Canada or Alaska, but I dont do airplanes so I'd have to paddle there.

Would also love to do a Month or 2 around Alderney and Jersey.

1 on the lure is worth 2 from the bait.

For me it would have to be at Baja with La jolla or whatever it's called

or my old stomping ground Byron Bay--the most easterly point of Australia

Same as Richi for me, La Jolla! The only thing stopping me would be the idea of sharks!! yuk!. I know people say they have a bad press but to me it seems so wrong to catch a fish that has bigger teeth than me! ha ha!

Money no object - would have to be the Coral Sea on a fly in / motherboat package - specifically targetting the Kenn reef.

Budget - Nile perch on Lake Nasser in Egypt. Freshwater fishing but for large fish with a bit of attitude!
