Same as Richi for me, La Jolla! The only thing stopping me would be the idea of sharks!! yuk!. I know people say they have a bad press but to me it seems so wrong to catch a fish that has bigger teeth than me! ha ha!

Cuba

You could get one to one of the Northern Cayos for around £600-700 for two weeks in December - January - Febuary if you avoid the Christmas/New Year Holidays. Thomas Cook are advertising Cayo Guillermo two weeks, All inclusive, this february for £658 (Per adult).

They even provide Yaks on the beach, so you could fish from them though a pedallo is a my favoured option.

You could get after Bonefish Tarpon Jacks Snook Barracuda Snapper, even Permit.

After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.

I must go down to the sea again

To the lonely sea and sky

I left my shoes and socks there

I wonder if they're dry?

Hey Kev, sounds ok to me, but as I am not a local I couldn't really organise it, although I am always ready to go to Jersey at the drop of a hat he he  and a meet anywhere suits me right down to the ground :)

We have already made it a mission to spend as much time there as possibe (we have been going regularly for years, sometimes twice a year). I have never found anywhere so beautiful and it seems like going home when we arrive!

I'd be up for that if the dates where suitable.

1 on the lure is worth 2 from the bait.

I'd be prepared to cancel my plans for a week long conger quest if there was a week long summer meet there

There you go Dave, that's virtually a meet already, just needs someone with the contacts, experience and ability to take charge of organising the practical arrangements.... ;)
