Big bream and tench from Wingham

One of my members phoned early this morning and asked me to pop over and take a pic of a 16-02 two-tone bream he'd caught. As I wasn't even dressed and the swim he was fishing had shallow margins I said no just do a self-take and put the fish back asap.

 

A short while later he phoned and asked could he have a pic of a 10-00 tench. This time I did oblige, and here's the fish. It was just 23 1/2 inches long with the tape on the ground, with almost no spawn but very chunky.

As someone has just said to me, shame these fish didn't come out at last week's AN Fish-In.

A couple of crackin catches for the angler, the tench looks in good fettle and not bloted with spawn at all.

 

I was happy to hear of a bream coming out of one of my clubs waters recently that topped 18lb !
