Uncaught Fish

I watched a fishing programme last night were the angler identified the fish as uncaught because of an intact skin flap at the top of the mouth. How would this show if it had been caught or not if it was there after they had caught it?

I've seen this too! It's obviously nonsense, especially when carpers are always designing rigs to spin and hook the bottom lip. (The flap of skin is behind the top lip.)

To add a bit more information I think it was Matt Hayes who said in on the programme "Record Fish" filmed at The Monument fishery. I didn't understand it either.

The whole "curtain" thing in my mind sums up modern day carping to a tee! A harmless micky take that has become a "fact" thanks to so called want to be experts writing the rubbish in magazines etc and the sheep following!! Ive caught carp all round the world, many in countries where they are automaticly killed,these have definately never been caught before! Ive never seen a "curtain"!

 

Just think about it will you all for just a minute- never caught before fish=virgin fish, a virgin has her hymen intact! God are all carpers so slow!!

 

I tell you what anyone want to disagree then come and visit me at my girlfriends house.She has some very expensive Koi in her garden that are in double figures.They will take food out of your hand,in fact will come up and suck your fingers.They have definately never seen a hook!! Come and show me their "curtain"!!!

 

Now was it a micky take that got out of hand or just people trying to be elitest by diferentiating between the merit of capturing uncaught/previously caught fish? Pathetic I reckon! Can we finally kill this ridiculous "bivvy myth" once and for all?

 

Hardly suprising the new "ultra cult" boys ie the barbel anglers have picked up the baton too!!
