macs are next on the hit list.

they aint that secure, there are viruses for it, its just no body cares enough about macs for it to be a big thing like with windows. give it time it will happen. im constantly logging onto my colleague's ( ;) ) mac through my windows one and printing stuff and making it do funny stuff, he still doesnt know its me :D

I'm sure they are next on the hit list and that given time it will happen, but to be fair people have been saying that for years now and there's not much sign of anything yet. I've been using Macs at home and at work for the past 15 years, and been online for the last nine of those and still the only virus I've ever actually experienced first-hand was a Word macro virus which popped up one morning some time in the late 90s. And that's after 15 years of working in offices full of Macs in buildings full of Macs. Whether this is because Macs are inherently less vulnerable or more likely just because they're a much less inviting target, I couldn't say, but the end result is the same.

I have to say though, I'm increasingly getting interested in giving Linux a spin. I've got an old G4 in the cupboard which isn't doing much these days which would be perfect to try it out on...

not sure what it is, its a dark area but im sure its just that nobody has expressed an interest in hacking macs. still loads of bugs to be had on windows.

tried the two sets of freeware Ian suggested, I do need to buy a better package, but Macafee constant telling me what it's up to is annoying.

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

Chris,

First thing is DON'T PANIC!!! Second thing is just select all the stuff the program finds then choose to delete those bad boys.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!
