Was there any mention of the recommended line b/s? That will give you a rough idea.

try and find that american lite ;) line record thingy ,some unbelievable fish caught on very light tackle ,unfortunately it doesent mention how many got away before hand :D

no rod should break if the clutch is set correctly on a reel but you may need a lot more line than that reel can hold to make sure

I've got one of these. Have only tried it once, only for half an hour or so.

It looks cool and might have a use, however, the rings are so small you'll need to use light line to make it work, or fish straight down (i.e. from a boat, pier). Casting is a nightmare!

If you're going to get it, make sure you get the fixed spool reel rather than the multiplier. The multiplier looks amazing, but doesn't work. The fixed spool reel is actually pretty good for its size!

Also, beware of unscrupulous vendors of this on E-Bay. I got screwed over twice before I eventually got the rod...better to go for a "power-seller" or one which doesnt have an unrealistically low price...

I can't imagine why anyone would want one of these...!

I agree. How could anyone possibly want a rod that took up so little space, was really inexpensive, could be carried easily no matter where you were going or how you were traveling, would allow some spur-of-the-moment fishing if you unexpectedly found a likely place and had a few minutes to spare?

They were made for DISPLAY only! My agent in China Terry was one of the first to sell them about two or three years ago. THEY DID NOT SELL!! And so the idiots in HK got a hold of massive stocks at knock down prices, then put them on ebay!!! Rest speaks for itself. They are NOT designed to actually be used. Although I have seen one seller offering a spool of 32Lb BS line with one!! I think the BS in this case did NOT mean Breaking Strain!! More Bull S***!!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))
