Sky dark and ominous, falling rain, spectacular flashes of lightning and claps of thunder.

And more to come :)

Same here :cc_surrender:

Had some heavy rain a short while ago and distant thunder but haven't seen any lightening here yet. On the lightening strikes website, just had the odd strike in my locality - most are too far west or south ATM.

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Started about 19.30 here in East Kent.....put the bivvie up sharpish.....pit pat..pit pat.....steadily getting heavier and the lightning was spectacular. Every direction, sometimes almost continuous.

In the middle of all the cacophony of noise, the cuckoo was still at it :) That bird has certainly got balls :)

21.20, the middle rod bleeped....please god, don't let it be a carp (or worse, an eel).....but no more bleeps.

22.15 Storm slowly moved away to the North...rain nearly stopped so a quick pack up and dash home..................forgot the puddle by the locked gate, more like a small lake now. Gonna get me feet wet, but only way to get to the padlock....and I have to set the combination...Urrrrrgh, it will take a week to dry my trainers off.

Back again tomorrow for more punishment :)

According to the weather forecast there are supposed to be light showers here in the North East. According to what is happening outside my house it has been raining heavily non stop since about 1am and shows no sign of easing at all.
