The Alderney water taxi has one of the 27hp jobs on it.

Yanmar may end up selling a few more in the Bailiwick, it'll soon be almost as expensive to run a petrol outboard as it is over here.

 

As long as the price of a Guernsey kilowatt doesn't go up to much, we'll still be ok.

those 3 cylinder kubota tractor engines would make first class inboards and with a little more power than those old petters you see pottering about.

we used to rent boats from pompey harbour and occasionally it took an hour just to get out of the harbour on an incoming tide those old petters really did potter
