Illegal Fishing - Freshwater and Saltwater

4000-5000 prosecutions a year for fishing without a licence. It's a real shame that so much money and effort is consumed by what is essentially the policing of tax evasion.

Be fair, the managers need to manage otherwise they would be out of a job. Apparently even the tax payers in this country help to fund the managers for this tax collection by approximatly a third. It will be good when they start taxing the rsa as they will be able to set up another subsidised organisation for the managers to manage. :whistling:

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Jesus, wouldnt of thought it would have been that many. Annoyes me that we have to pay for a licence to enjoy our hobbie so why shouldnt other people have to pay. I have been to loads of lakes in the past years and i think only 7 times i have only been asked if they could see my licence. Fishing i have a cracking time everytime i go weather i catch or not so i have to give somthing back to it.

the amount of SW prosecutions are a joke - quite obviously.

Don't worry, once there is a sea fishing licence, the number of saltwater prosections will rocket... For fishing without a licence, anyway.

All this shows is the difference in attitude between the Environment Agency and the Sea Fisheries Committees. The EA carry out genuine policing and enforcement of regulations while the SFCs "turn a blind eye". This might be because the SFC's get financed from our council taxes, whether they do the job properly or not.

It'll never happen Steve and if it does...........how the hell are they going to police it? You will see anglers changing their fishing regime / time to go fishing and start fishing at night instead. Fishermen will not be told what to do. I'm quite sure the authorities aren't going to turn up with their own little militia just to catch the poor old "tommy" wanting to wet a line in the dead of night. How much resources will that effort drink up before the authorities say "sod that" ?

As for boat anglers , "if" the license is brought in ...............you might aswell wave goodbye to the charter boat industry as we know it. It will go the way of the pits and miners , with only the die-hard skippers giving it a go. For , as far as i can see , boat angling is already expensive enough , without imposing extra levies on it.

Just my opinion.

Fishing is fishing , Life is life , but life wouldn't be very enjoyable without fishing................ Mr M 12:03 / 19-3-2009
