Frozen Ragworm

I put a load of ragworm in the freezer last week, just to see if it would work.

Will I be able to use them?

Might be alright on toast  I have an old fridge and have kept ragworm in coarse sand and damp weed for a week, just checking to remove any dodgey ones, I have never tried to freeze them could be interesting to hear result.

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM

I want to go after the sole again asap, and thought they may still be able to handle a 10 yard cast :)

I think you will find the freezing process breaks down all the tissues ect & they will turn soft when thawed ,,,but dont chuck them ,,,you can allways stick the mush in a swim feeder for added scent ,,

P s if your experiment does work ,let us know,, ime hopeless at keeping rag for any time,,

Just a thought ,the river boys use a sort of shrink net for soft baits ,it disolves when its been in the water for a few mins,,,

I bought some preserved Rag and Lug from Veals Tackle the other week. It suprised me that they stay in really good condition even after 1/2 an hour on the seabed. Unfortunately I have still not managed to get out enough to try them properly. Has anyone else tried these and had any success?
