Hello Folks,

I am very new but I will start off with a question.

I will shortly be moving from Shetland to Gozo.

Does anyone have any tips on methods to use, gear requirements etc.?

In fact a general chat would be ok.

Hiya, Welcome to AN,hope you enjoy your time here....you are making one heck of a change in your home Eh!!!,from freezing cold to the Med....I have never been to Malta, but have fished on Corfu, but didnt catch a thing!!!!! :(

I will have a great advantage when I get over there, I will be able to see what fish are about and even hand feed them.

I'm joining friends who have a diving company over there.

I have a 16ft "Shetland model," boat that I have converted back to sail and I'm working on a way to get it over there. Not brave enough any more to go round Biscay so I am thinking of the French waterways.

When I was younger I thought That I could walk on water.

Hiya Bresail,fished im Malta the mother island to Gozo in October and caught some VERY big mullet.You need to get in touch with kingfishersport.org - just do a google search. The guy I fished with with was Alex Ciantar,got to fish with him for a day in his boat,fantastic mate!

If you get to speak to Alex tell him Snatcher(John) from England was asking after him and his free holiday is still on offer!. Any problems give me a PM. Best of luck. By the way Gozo is beautiful Bresail if you have not been there before.

Ps Alex is one of the club officials
