Boat charter fees?

Depends on the area you fish from. I can get a boat to myself midweek from Minehead or Brighton for £110, as long as the skipper gets to fish as well.

Weymouth can be anything from £280 upwards.

Elton. If you were to give most skippers the offer of a midweek booking, I`m sure that the £35-40 per place advetised, would rapidly come down? Make it a regular booking, you should be able to get a further discount.

The cost of keeping a charter boat going are the same whether you are fishing or not. The only difference when you have customers is the fuel bill? So if you can give a skipper, a days work, when he was thinking about how to avoid a day shopping with the wife? You`ll get value for money, compared to booking at the weekend.

Paul.

We don`t use J`s anymore!!

Cheers, guys. It's definitely midweek I'm after, anyway, so it sounds like it will be in my favour. Usually, this is better for me, as I can work around it and leave the weekend for time with my wife and daughter - there is at least one perk to being self employed :)
