I coil them up and put them into grip-seal baggies, like shop-bought traces. I then put them into a white tub that used to contain Vanish or some sort of stain remover. It's the lightest and safest way I've ever used.

Been using a standard rig bin for years with no real probs but always fancied a system of storing them straight as opposed to wound. Looked at the Fox wallet in a shop recently:

It is nice but unbelievably heavy. Anyone have an easier DIY solution?

Once again coiled but I wrap my round a small roll of carpet underlay and keep them in a round cigar tin.Air tight and last for years.

 

Oh and a lot cheaper than 20 quid!

Keen to find a method of storing them straight if possible, or maybe just folded in half round a long tube or somesuch.

look on ebay for a wooden fly box the ones with 3 sections theas hold plenty of traces and onley 14£
