fly fishing for coarse fish

has anyone ever gone fly-fishing for coarse fish as i would like to no with fly is best for differnt fish i no you can catch most coarse fish on the fly i just don't no witch ones to use

Chub and dace are suckers 4 goldhead gold ribbed hares ear nymphs..sounds a mouthful but the dressing is basically dubbed on hares fur , gold rib and a brass goldhead. Lead wire can be used to make it heavier. Fish them upstream + use a strike indicator. They seemed to beat all other patterns , though PT nymph did ok too.Rudd ,emergers or shallow fished nymphs.

One very good method on well-fished still waters is to loosefeed a few maggots so as to get some fish up in the water and then fish with a Peach Doll - good for roach and rudd, and when a carp takes, the racket from your flyreel is something else.
