Can any one help me I am looking to re lanscape my garden, Rather than buying new stuff, I like the idea of using reclaimed materials,

To cut to the chase any one in the South East got any recomended suppliers I wanted to use the council type paving slabs haunched with blue enginering bricks, the bricks are as cheap as chips its the slabs that im having problems sourcing localy.

Ive even found a supplier of type 1 stone for my sub base who gives it away.

any help would be greatfully recieved.

what about the council ? they seem to be removing them preferring tarmac localy ,i suspect if one raises or sinks a few inches it becomes a liability nowadays so they are disapearing

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Heavy as hell too and hard to work. For an older look I lay full and half size slabs, and after a English Winter they have a used look anyway..

A local company (Bence) do a very decent rivened 600x600 pre cast slab for cheap money that is easier to cut and looks good especially with pea gravel as a grout..

I bought some from Jewsons , great big thick ones. I think they described them as council type. Plain concrete finish, but ok if interspered with some blocks.
