Obviously carp eradication is good news but it is amusing how quickly they manage to forget the extermination of native species caused by the trout and redfin.

It also always struck me as weird that Tassie has never been stocked with Australian natives that never made it across the Bass Strait.

Don't worry, someone will use a carp minnow and boom! Hard to eradicate sewer bass. In fact, I'll say impossible without the use of nuclear devices.

I was down there a few weeks back and did a bit of fishing. They don't like redfins either Ken or tench. They ask you not to put them back if you catch them. Trout are the master race.
