I quite often get emails that contain a link.


just lately when I click on the link I get this message.


This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer.


what can I do


my mind not only wanders-- sometimes it leaves completely.

Unless you know exactly who it is (and anyones mailbox can be hacked and mail sent using their name) DONT open them!

If you really want to try use right click on the link and see whats available but its probably your virus checker stopping you opening suspicious links ,hovering your mouse over it should show who it is in reality but beware!

Bloody hell Fred, I thought you'd taken up golf when I read the title!


I'm no expert, but work on the same principle that Chesters advised. I won't click on any link, if I have the slightest doubt as to it's origins'.


It's a bit like the old joke,


Patient, "It hurts when I do this, and I don't like it".


Doctor, "Well don't do it then"!
