bryan, i live in edinburgh, its not as bad as it used to be in the late 80's early 90's, mainly because the trainspotting culture, needle sharing etc gave us a good clear out due to HIV and AIDS

its not as really bad as i painted it, these things don't happen every day to me or people i know, but it goes on around the town.

 

i'm not intimidated by them, my wife is though, its annoying when you are trying to get on with your work and you have to stand and stare at them in your shop to stop them stealing things out the window.

 

never see a policeman on the beat, if you phone them they are more interested in who YOU are than the problem you are reporting, even then they hardly ever turn up, always late when they do
